Graduate-Level Leadership Program Aims to Build Regional Stewards
The North Texas Commission announces the graduation of the inaugural Leadership North Texas class.
The class of 27 leaders from throughout the region spent the past nine months learning best practices in regional stewardship and discussing key issues our region faces, including education and workforce, the North Texas economy, sustainable development, healthcare and transportation.
The graduating inaugural class of Leadership North Texas includes:

"Through Leadership North Texas, we strive to demonstrate how several key issues are more than local or community issues, but regional issues," said Dan S. Petty. "Leadership North Texas is about what can be achieved if everyone is working together to develop solutions."
The program was supported by Chesapeake Energy for its inaugural year.
Established in 1971, the North Texas Commission is a regional non-profit consortium of businesses, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development entities and higher education institutions in the North Texas Region. The Commission is the one and only public-private regional organization committed to enhancing the overall economic vitality and quality of life of North Texas. NTC improves the economy, infrastructure and lifestyle of North Texas by leading and directing regionally cooperative initiatives to accomplish objectives in four primary areas: transportation, aviation, environment and long-range strategies.
